Are you in recovery (through Al-Anon, CoDA, AA, or any 12-step program) and struggling to understand why you keep attracting the same type of partner? YANA is here to help with our tailored workshop: "Exploring Your Intentions and Needs in Dating." Join us to gain insights and tools to create healthier relationships.

The session kicks off with an icebreaker, giving participants the chance to share their reasons for attending and highlight a positive trait they value in a partner, promoting reflection and connection. The first major activity encourages self-reflection on dating motivations, followed by writing exercises and group discussions to determine if participants are seeking genuine connections or simply trying to stave off loneliness.

As the workshop unfolds, participants will identify their dating expectations and needs, explore desired partner traits and dealbreakers, and reflect on their communication styles and boundaries. This includes writing tasks, group discussions, and a brief lecture on recognizing enmeshment behaviors.

The workshop wraps up with a group reflection, allowing participants to share their insights. Finally, everyone completes a closing exercise by identifying an actionable step for their dating approach or mindset and sharing a takeaway in a closing circle.
