Online Mindset Coach
In Aurora, there are professionals called "mindset coaches" who help their clients keep a healthy, constructive outlook on life. As a service to our members, we help them recognize and overcome any self-defeating attitudes, beliefs, or routines that stand in the way of their progress.
Our Aurora mindset coaches may employ strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, and mindfulness, among others, to assist their clients in reframing their thoughts, altering their perspectives, and building mental fortitude. Along the way, they may also offer accountability and encouragement to their clients as they work toward achieving their goals.
By encouraging our customers to adopt a growth mindset, we hope to aid them in breaking through self-imposed limitations and realizing their full potential.
Mindset Coaching & CBT
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is what we use to help people change their unhelpful ways of thinking and behaving. Here Aurora, we have coaches who specialize in helping people change their mindsets to achieve better results.
Cognitive therapy is predicated on the idea that our ideas, emotions, and actions are all interconnected, and that negative thoughts can have a domino effect on our other mental and emotional states. Our coaches will instruct you on how to recognize and counteract such destructive ideas, and how to substitute more productive and reasonable ones.

Changing you negative thought pattern
Negative thought patterns are habitual methods of thinking, right? This self-defeating behavior can affect how you perceive yourself and the world. These motifs might include;
Catastrophizing entails anticipating the worst possible outcome in every circumstance and presuming that any problem or difficulty will result in catastrophic outcomes.
All-or-nothing thinking entails perceiving situations in terms of black and white, with no gray areas or nuances. For instance, considering anything less than perfection a failure.
This is the practice of drawing sweeping conclusions from a solitary negative event or experience. Assuming, for instance, that a single rejection implies you will never find love.
This is the belief that everything that occurs is the direct consequence of one's actions or shortcomings, even when there is little evidence to support this notion.
Negative self-talk; a pattern of self-defeating thoughts and beliefs, such as "I'm not good enough" or "I'll never be successful."
This involves avoiding situations or activities that may provoke anxiety or discomfort, which can lead to social isolation and a lack of satisfaction.
We will help you address these issues through additional resources, such as self-help strategies, mindfulness, meditation, and journaling, through online and in-person mindset coaching in the Aurora area. By identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors, it is possible to cultivate more positive and adaptive ways of thinking and acting, which can lead to peace.
Negative Self-talk Coaching
Negative self-talk coaching is a type of coaching that aims to address negative self-talk patterns that can contribute to mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Negative self-talk refers to the internal dialogue or thoughts that people have about themselves that are negative, critical, and self-defeating. This type of thinking can lead to feelings of low self-esteem, hopelessness, and anxiety.
At YANA, our life coaches help you address the negative self-talk and challenge your negative thoughts and beliefs. The purpose of doing this, is to recognize when you are engaging in negative self-talk and challenge the accuracy of those thoughts. We can help you with the belief that you are "worthless" or "unlovable."
We will teach you the strategies to challenge your negative thought patterns to improve your wellbeing.
Module on reflective thinking
Journaling thought modules are a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy technique used to identify and challenge negative thoughts and beliefs. The purpose of this technique is to help individuals transform their negative thoughts and beliefs into more positive and adaptive ones.
Typical thought journaling modules consist of three steps; identifying negative thoughts, challenging negative thoughts, and replacing negative thoughts with positive ones.
In the first stage, participants are encouraged to identify the negative thoughts and beliefs that contribute to their distress. This can be achieved by writing down negative sentiments in a journal or on a piece of paper.
In the second phase, members are instructed to challenge their negative thoughts by asking, "Is this thought true?" and "What evidence do I have to support or contradict this thought?" They may also be asked to consider alternative explanations for the situation or occurrence that is triggering the negative thought.
In the third phase, you are encouraged to replace negative thoughts with those that are more positive and adaptive. This may involve writing positive affirmations, transforming negative thoughts into positive ones, or simply concentrating on the positive aspects of a situation.
Individuals seeking to surmount negative thought patterns and improve their mental health and well-being may find journaling thought modules to be a useful resource. By identifying and challenging negative thoughts, people can develop more positive and adaptive methods of thinking, resulting in greater happiness and resilience.
Introducing Mirroring Techniques
Mirroring in is a technique our Aurora coaches use to help members feel heard and understood. Mirroring involves reflecting back the client's words, tone, and body language in a non-judgmental and supportive way. This can help the client feel validated, seen, and heard.
When a coach mirrors a client, they may use phrases such as "It sounds like you're feeling...", "I hear that you're saying...", or "What I'm hearing is...". This allows the therapist to demonstrate that they are actively listening and attempting to understand the client's experience.
Mirroring can also be used to help clients gain insight into their own thoughts and feelings. By hearing their own words reflected back to them, clients may be able to gain a new perspective or understand their own experience more deeply.
Overall, mirroring is a technique that can help build rapport between coach and client and improve the relationship. It can also help members feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings and may lead to greater insights and progress in therapy.
